FALL PROGRAMS AT THE SAD CAFÉ

If you picture yourself on the stage acting or singing or behind the scenes directing, we’ve got a program for you. Or perhaps you would like to be a member of a new, hot rock band or see yourself as a karate expert. Whatever your goals are, you will enjoy being part of the Sad Café community. Sign-ups for after school programs will be held September 7, 5:30-7:30 at The Sad Café, 148 Plaistow Rd., Plaistow, NH.

The Musical Theater Program will present “Wonderland”, a musical based on the book Alice in Wonderland. If you’re interested in learning how to develop your theater skills in dancing, singing, and dancing this might be the one for you. Or perhaps you would rather work on the other side of the curtain in costuming or theatrical producing. Participants for this program will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays for 10 weeks and will present a community performance in November. Cost: $145 for 10 weeks.

If you had decided you really wanted to be part of a rock band consider joining ‘Making a Band’. Here you will learn to play a “rock” instrument at a basic to advanced level and learn the techniques for working in an ensemble. Experienced players will develop their stage presence and learn to build a repertoire for “real” gigs outside the course. Make plans to join us on Tuesdays or Thursdays, depending on experience. Cost: $65 per month.
Perhaps you’re interest is in producing and presenting video shows. Then our ‘On the Air’ might be for you. Every Monday you will learn camera techniques, get on air talent training, and learn all aspects of show production. Cost: $65 per month.

Those who have an athletic bent might consider our Karate class on Fridays. Here you will have an opportunity to earn your degree belt, gain confidence, and be inspired by the discipline of this ancient martial arts form. Cost: $65 per month.

Transportation to the program from Timberlane and Sanborn Middle Schools and a healthy snack are included in the fee.

All programs begin the week of September 6th.

Sign up sheets are also available on line at www.thesadcafe.com or at The Sad Café and can be mailed or dropped off. Scholarships are available.

For more information, contact the Sad Café at the above URL or give us a call at (603) 382-8893.
